DIGITAL: Mo. 1.3. ab 20h Comicstammtisch mit / Comicmeeting with Paulina Stulin

Der digitale Stammtisch geht weiter im März mit Paulina Stulin als Mentorin, die seit ihrem 18. Lebensjahr in einer Dachgeschosswohnung in Darmstadt lebt und arbeitet, einer Bude, die den zentralen Handlungsort ihrer mehr als 600 Seiten umfassenden Graphic Novel »Bei mir zuhause« (Jaja Verlag 2020) darstellt. Paulina Stulin wurde 1985 in Breslau in Polen geboren und kam ein Jahr später mit ihren Eltern nach Deutschland. Von 2007 bis 2012 studierte sie Kommunikationsdesign in Darmstadt und absolvierte ein Semester an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste Krakau. Alle ihrer bisherigen Comicveröffentlichungen sind autobiographische Werke. Neben ihrer Tätigkeit als Comiczeichnerin arbeitet sie als pädagogische Betreuung für Jugendliche und produziert den Podcast »Pingpong mit Pauli«. Ihr neuestes Projekt ist eine Hörbuchserie namens »In Echtzeit«, die auf ihren literarischen Selbstgesprächen der letzten Jahre basiert: Ein Potpourri aus Reflektionen über das Comiczeichnen, ihre Lohnarbeit, Politik, Psychokram und beharrlichen Versuchen, das Rätsel des Universums zu knacken, mit einer neuen Episode jede Woche.

Dieses Onlinetreffen wird nicht aufgenommen oder gestreamt, es ist nur für euch angemeldete Comic-Künstler*Innen.

The digital Comic Meeting Up goes on in March with Paulina Stulin as mentor. She has been living and working in an attic apartment in Darmstadt since she was 18, a flat that is the central plot location of her more than 600-page graphic novel "Bei mir zuhause" (Jaja Verlag 2020). Paulina Stulin was born in 1985 in Wroclaw, Poland, and came to Germany with her parents a year later. From 2007 to 2012, she studied communication design in Darmstadt and completed a semester at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. All her comic publications are autobiographical books. In addition to her activity as a comic artist, she works as an educational tutor for young people and produces the podcast "Pingpong mit Pauli". Her latest project is an audiobook series called "In Echtzeit" (In Real Time) based on her literary soliloquies over the past few years: a potpourri of reflections on drawing comics, her wage work, politics, psycho stuff, and persistent attempts to crack the riddle of the universe, with a new episode every week.

Add to the email what you will be showing and what topics are of interest to you. You don't have to show your face in the call if you don't want to, but have your sketches or comics ready in digital form on your computer to be able to get feedback from other comic artists and from the mentor. This online meeting will not be recorded or broadcast publicly, it is only for you artists who are participating.
