DIGITAL: Mo. 3.4 ab 20h Comicstammtisch mit / Comics Meetup with Olav Korth

Im April haben wir einen Mentor auf unserem digitalen Comicstammtisch, der weder die Texte für die Comics schreibt noch die Zeichnungen zeichnet. Was stattdessen er macht: Die Texte zeichnen! Denn Olav Korth ist ein erfahrener Letterer, der für Verlage wie Reprodukt und Carlsen arbeitet. 1967 im Nordrhein-Westfalen geboren, studierte er zwischen 1995 und 2001 Design an der Fachhochschule Düsseldorf. Seit 2010 macht er Lettering. Auf dem Stammtisch wird er Einblick in dieses für die Comics so wichtige Metier geben.

Teilnahme als Video-Call mit ANMELDUNG:

bitte schickt eine kurze EMAIL mit dem Betreff 'Stammtisch' an augusto [dot] paim [at] gmail [dot] com und schreibt kurz dazu, was ihr vorzeigen wollt bzw. welche Themen-Bereiche euch interessieren. Stammtisch-Koordinator Augusto Paim sendet euch am 3.4. den Link zum Treffen zu. Ihr müsst euer Gesicht nicht zeigen, wenn ihr nicht wollt, aber es wäre wichtig, dass ihr eure Zeichnungen/Entwürfe/Storyboards/Probeseiten DIGITAL bereit habt, als digitale Zeichnungen oder abfotografiert/gescannt. Dieses Onlinetreffen wird nicht aufgenommen oder gestreamt, es ist nur für euch angemeldete Comic-Künstler*Innen.

In April, we have a mentor at our digital comics meetup who neither writes the texts nor draws the drawings for the comics. What he does instead: he draws the texts! Because Olav Korth is an experienced letterer who works for publishers like Reprodukt and Carlsen. Born in 1967 in North Rhine-Westphalia, he studied design at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences between 1995 and 2001. He has been lettering since 2010. At the meetup, he will give an insight into this profession, which is so important for making comics.

Participation via video call upon APPLICATION:

Please send an email with the subject line 'Stammtisch' to the meetup coordinator Augusto (augusto [dot] paim [at] gmail [dot] com), he will send you the meeting link on the day of the event. Include in the email what you will be showing and what topics are of interest to you. You don't have to show your face in the call if you don't want to, but have your sketches or comics ready in digital form on your computer to be able to get feedback from other comic artists and from the mentor. This online meeting will not be recorded or broadcast publicly, it is only for you artists who are participating.
