DIGITAL: Mo. 6.7. ab 20h Comicstammtisch mit / Comicmeeting with Nacha Vollenweider

Der Renate Comicstammtisch wird zum zweiten Mal in digitaler Form ausgeführt, wieder im Rahmen von #ComicSTREAMvasion als Video-Call mit Anmeldung. Dabei haben wir die Comic-Autorin Nacha Vollenweider aus Argentinien eingeholt: sie ist die Mentorin im Juli.

Nacha Vollenweider wurde 1983 geboren und kam 2013 mit einem Künstlerstipendium des DAAD nach Hamburg, um an der HAW bei Prof. Anke Feuchtenberger ein Comicprojekt zu verwirklichen. Ihre Abschlussarbeit ist die Graphic Novel "Fußnoten", die in experimenteller Erzählweise von ihren Erfahrungen in Deutschland und ihren Erinnerungen an Argentinien erzählt. 2015 wurde sie mit dem Projekt als eine von zehn FinalistInnen mit dem Comicbuchpreis der Berthold-Leibinger-Stiftung prämiert. Seitdem ist das Buch auch auf Spanisch und Französisch erschienen.

Ihr müsst euer Gesicht nicht zeigen, wenn ihr nicht wollt, aber es wäre wichtig, dass ihr eure Zeichnungen/Entwürfe/Storyboards/Probeseiten DIGITAL bereit habt, als digitale Zeichnungen oder abfotografiert/gescannt. Dieses Onlinetreffen wird nicht aufgenommen oder gestreamt, es ist nur für euch angemeldete Comic-Künstler*Innen.

The comic artists meetup will be held for the second time in digital form, again as part of #ComicSTREAMvasion, in the form of a VIDEO CALL with RSVP'ing before. The comic author Nacha Vollenweider from Argentina will be the mentor in July.

Nacha Vollenweider was born in 1983 and moved to Hamburg in 2013 after receiving an scholarship for artists from DAAD. She developed a comic project at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences under the supervision of Prof. Anke Feuchtenberger. She graduated after presenting the graphic novel "Footnotes", in which she tells her experiences in Germany and her memories of Argentina in an experimental narrative style. In 2015, she was one of ten finalists of the Comic Book Prize of the Berthold Leibinger Foundation. Since then, the book has also been published in Spanish and French. 

APPLICATION: please send an email with the subject line 'Stammtisch' to the Meetup coordinator Augusto (augusto [dot] paim [at] gmail [dot] com), he will send you the meeting link on the day. Add to the email what you will be showing and what topics are of interest to you. You don't have to show your face in the call if you don't want to, but have your sketches or comics ready in digital form on your computer to be able to get feedback from other comic artists and from the mentor. This online meeting will not be recorded or broadcast publicly, it is only for you artists who are participating.
