DIGITAL: Mo. 3.8. ab 20h Comicstammtisch mit / Comicmeeting with Olivia Vieweg

Der Renate Comicstammtisch bleibt noch eine Weile in digitaler Form, immer noch im Rahmen von #ComicSTREAMvasion als Video-Call mit Anmeldung. Dabei haben wir die Comic-Künstlerin Oliva Vieweg aus Weimar eingeholt: sie ist die Mentorin im August.

Olivia Vieweg, 1987 in Jena geboren, studierte bis 2011 an der Bauhaus-Universität in Weimar Visuelle Kommunikation. Bisher veröffentlichte sie einige Publikationen im Manga-Bereich, darunter das Subway to Sally Storybook (2008; Band 2: 2012), außerdem sind von ihr u. a. der Cartoon- Bestseller Warum Katzen besser sind als Männer (2009) und der Zombie-Comic Endzeit (2012) erschienen. Letzteres wurde von Arte und ZDF verfilmt. Von ihr stammen auch die Comicromane Huck Finn (2013) und Antoinette kehrt zurück (2014).

Stammtisch-Koordinator Augusto Paim sendet euch am 3.8. den Link zum Treffen zu. Ihr müsst euer Gesicht nicht zeigen, wenn ihr nicht wollt, aber es wäre wichtig, dass ihr eure Zeichnungen/Entwürfe/Storyboards/Probeseiten DIGITAL bereit habt, als digitale Zeichnungen oder abfotografiert/gescannt. Dieses Onlinetreffen wird nicht aufgenommen oder gestreamt, es ist nur für euch angemeldete Comic-Künstler*Innen.

The comic artists meetup will be held in digital form once again, still as part of #ComicSTREAMvasion, in the form of a VIDEO CALL with RSVP'ing before. The comic author Olivia Vieweg from Weimar will be the mentor in August.

Olivia Vieweg, born in Jena in 1987, studied Visual Communication at the Bauhaus University in Weimar until 2011. She has published several mangas, including Subway to Sally Storybook (2008; Volume 2: 2012), and has also published the cartoon bestseller Why Cats Are Better Than Men (2009) and the zombie comic End Time (2012). The letter was filmed by Arte and ZDF. She also wrote the comic novels Huck Finn (2013) and Antoinette returns (2014). 

APPLICATION: please send an email with the subject line 'Stammtisch' to the Meetup coordinator Augusto (augusto [dot] paim [at] gmail [dot] com), he will send you the meeting link on the day. Add to the email what you will be showing and what topics are of interest to you. You don't have to show your face in the call if you don't want to, but have your sketches or comics ready in digital form on your computer to be able to get feedback from other comic artists and from the mentor. This online meeting will not be recorded or broadcast publicly, it is only for you artists who are participating.
