DIGITAL: Mo. 12.4. ab 20h Comicstammtisch mit / Comicmeeting with Uli Oesterle

Im April ist Uli Oesterle der Mentor unseres digitalen Stammtischs. 1966 in Karlsruhe geboren, nach einer Ausbildung zum Grafiker an der Akademie für Gestaltung in München ist er seit Anfang der 1990er-Jahre als freiberuflicher Illustrator, Grafiker und Comicautor tätig. 1995 gründete er gemeinsam mit Benjamin von Eckartsberg und anderen die Ateliergemeinschaft »Die Artillerie«. Uli Oesterle veröffentlichte zahlreiche Comics für Magazine wie Strapazin und Men’s Health oder die amerikanische Anthologie »The Dark Horse Book of Hauntings«. Sein Debütalbum »Schläfenlappenphantasien« wurde im Jahr 2000 auf dem Internationalen Comic-Salon Erlangen für den Max und Moritz-Preis nominiert; für die Einzelveröffentlichung des ersten Kapitels von »Hector Umbra« erhielt Oesterle 2004 u.a. eine Nominierung beim Comic-Festival im französischen Angoulême und den ICOM Independent Comic Preis. Oesterles Arbeiten wurden bisher in sieben Sprachen übertragen. 2016 erhielt er den mit 15.000 EUR dotierten Comicbuchpreis der Berthold-Leibinger-Stiftung für sein Projekt »Vatermilch«, das bei Carlsen erschienen ist. Uli Oesterle lebt und arbeitet in München.

Ihr müsst euer Gesicht nicht zeigen, wenn ihr nicht wollt, aber es wäre wichtig, dass ihr eure Zeichnungen/Entwürfe/Storyboards/Probeseiten DIGITAL bereit habt, als digitale Zeichnungen oder abfotografiert/gescannt. Dieses Onlinetreffen wird nicht aufgenommen oder gestreamt, es ist nur für euch angemeldete Comic-Künstler*Innen.

 Uli Oesterle is the mentor of our digital Comic Meeting Up in April. Born in Karlsruhe in 1966, he studied graphic design at the Akademie für Gestaltung in Munich, and has been working as a freelance illustrator, graphic artist and comic author since the early 1990s. In 1995, together with Benjamin von Eckartsberg and others, he founded the studio "Die Artillerie". Uli Oesterle has published numerous comics for magazines such as Strapazin and Men's Health or the American anthology "The Dark Horse Book of Hauntings". His debut album "Schläfenlappenphantasien" was nominated for the Max und Moritz Award at the International Comic Salon Erlangen in 2000; for the single publication of the first chapter of "Hector Umbra," Oesterle received, among others, a nomination at the Comic Festival in Angoulême, France, and the ICOM Independent Comic Award in 2004. Oesterle's work has been translated into seven languages to date. In 2016, he received the Berthold Leibinger Stiftung Comic Book Award, worth EUR 15,000, for his project "Vatermilch," published by Carlsen. Uli Oesterle lives and work's in Munich.

Add to the email what you will be showing and what topics are of interest to you. You don't have to show your face in the call if you don't want to, but have your sketches or comics ready in digital form on your computer to be able to get feedback from other comic artists and from the mentor. This online meeting will not be recorded or broadcast publicly, it is only for you artists who are participating.
