DIGITAL: Mo. 1.8 ab 20h Comicstammtisch mit / Comicmeeting with Moki

Im August haben wir eine Mentorin, die in unterschiedlichen Medien arbeitet, wobei ihr Schwerpunkt auf der (Comic-)Malerei liegt. Moki wurde 1982 im sauerländischen Brilon geborenen und studierte Freie Kunst an der Hamburger Hochschule für bildende Künste. Auf der Frankfurter Buchmesse 2006 erhielt Moki für »Asleep in a foreign place« den Sondermann-Preis als “Bester Newcomer des Jahres”. Es folgten die Bücher »How to disappear« (2010), »Wandering Ghost« (2011), »Shelter« (2017) und »Sumpfland« (2019). Neben zahlreichen nationalen und internationalen Einzelausstellungen, unter anderem in Barcelona, Kopenhagen, Prag, San Francisco und Los Angeles, war Moki auch an einer Vielzahl von Gruppenausstellungen, etwa in China und Japan, beteiligt. Sie ist festes Mitglied des Spring-Kollektivs, das jährlich eine Anthologie mit visuell erzählten Geschichten veröffentlicht.

Stammtisch-Koordinator Augusto Paim sendet euch am 1.8. den Link zum Treffen zu. Ihr müsst euer Gesicht nicht zeigen, wenn ihr nicht wollt, aber es wäre wichtig, dass ihr eure Zeichnungen/Entwürfe/Storyboards/Probeseiten DIGITAL bereit habt, als digitale Zeichnungen oder abfotografiert/gescannt. Dieses Onlinetreffen wird nicht aufgenommen oder gestreamt, es ist nur für euch angemeldete Comic-Künstler*Innen.

In August we have a mentor who works in different media, with a focus on (comic) painting. Moki was born in 1982 in Brilon, Sauerland, and studied at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts. please send an email with the subject line 'Stammtisch' to the Meetup coordinator Augusto (augusto [dot] paim [at] gmail [dot] com), he will send you the meeting link on the day. Add to the email what you will be showing and what topics are of interest to you. You don't have to show your face in the call if you don't want to, but have your sketches or comics ready in digital form on your computer to be able to get feedback from other comic artists and from the mentor. This online meeting will not be recorded or broadcast publicly, it is only for you artists who are participating.
