DIGITAL: Mo. 5.9 ab 20h Comicstammtisch mit / Comic Meetup with Jennifer Daniel

Im September werden wir von Düsseldorf aus mentoriert, denn die Mentorin unseres digitalen Stammtischs ist diesmal Jennifer Daniel. Sie wurde 1986 in Bonn geboren und hat an der Fachhochschule Düsseldorf Kommunikationsdesign studiert. Ihre Diplomarbeit, der Comic »Earth unplugged«, wurde 2014 in der Kategorie „Bester deutschsprachiger Comic“ des Max und Moritz Preises nominiert und erhielt bereits 2013 vom ICOM eine lobende Erwähnung. Mit der 2022 erschienenen Graphic Novel »Das Gutachten« über die Bonner Republik legt sie nun ihre erzählerisch wie zeichnerisch ausgereifteste Arbeit vor. Jennifer Daniel ist auch als Grafikdesignerin, Dozentin und Illustratorin tätig und interessiert sich für Kunst und künstliche Intelligenz.

Dieses Onlinetreffen wird nicht aufgenommen oder gestreamt, es ist nur für euch angemeldete Comic-Künstler*Innen.

In September we will be mentored from Düsseldorf: This time, the mentor of our monthly digital Comic Meetup is Jennifer Daniel. She was born in Bonn in 1986 and studied communication design at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences. Her diploma thesis - the comic "Earth unplugged" - was nominated in 2014 in the category "Best German-language Comic" of the Max und Moritz Award and already received an honorable mention from ICOM in 2013. With the graphic novel "Das Gutachten" about the Bonn Republic, published in 2022, she now presents her most mature work, both narratively and in terms of drawing. Jennifer Daniel also works as a graphic designer, lecturer and illustrator and is interested in art and artificial intelligence.

Add to the email what you will be showing and what topics are of interest to you. You don't have to show your face in the call if you don't want to, but have your sketches or comics ready in digital form on your computer to be able to get feedback from other comic artists and from the mentor. This online meeting will not be recorded or broadcast publicly, it is only for you artists who are participating.
