DIGITAL: Mo. 2.1 ab 20h Comicstammtisch mit / Comics Meetup with Mia Oberländer

Das neue Jahr beginnt gleich mit dem traditionellen Comicstammtisch der Comicbibliothek Renate. Und die erste Mentorin 2023 heißt Mia Oberländer. Sie ist 1995 in Ulm geboren und lebt seit 2015 in Hamburg. Derzeit studiert sie in der Masterklasse von Anke Feuchtenberger an der HAW und ist an der Organisation des Hamburger Comicfestivals beteiligt. Mit ihrer Bachelorarbeit »Anna« gewann sie 2021 den Comicbuchpreis der Berthold Leibinger Stiftung. Die autofiktionale Erzählung wurde nach Erscheinen durch zahlreiche Feuilletons und Kulturredaktionen gewürdigt, sowie im Ausland veröffentlicht. Oberländer illustrierte u.a. bereits für die deutsche Ausgabe von LE MONDE diplomatique, das Kiblind-Magazin, die französische Tageszeitung Libération und das schweizerische Magazin Strapazin.

Ihr müsst euer Gesicht nicht zeigen, wenn ihr nicht wollt, aber es wäre wichtig, dass ihr eure Zeichnungen/Entwürfe/Storyboards/Probeseiten DIGITAL bereit habt, als digitale Zeichnungen oder abfotografiert/gescannt. Dieses Onlinetreffen wird nicht aufgenommen oder gestreamt, es ist nur für euch angemeldete Comic-Künstler*Innen.

The new year starts directly with the traditional Comics Meetup of the Comics Library Renate. And the first mentor in 2023 is Mia Oberländer. She was born in Ulm in 1995 and has lived in Hamburg since 2015. She is currently studying in Anke Feuchtenberger's master's class at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, and is involved in the organization of the Hamburg Comics Festival. With her bachelor thesis "Anna", she won the comic book award of the Berthold Leibinger Stiftung in 2021. The autofictional narrative was appreciated by numerous feature articles and cultural editors after its publication; it was also published abroad. Oberländer has already illustrated for the German edition of LE MONDE diplomatique, Kiblind magazine, the French daily newspaper Libération and the Swiss magazine Strapazin, among others.

please send an email with the subject line 'Stammtisch' to the Meetup coordinator Augusto (augusto [dot] paim [at] gmail [dot] com), he will send you the meeting link on the day. Add to the email what you will be showing and what topics are of interest to you. You don't have to show your face in the call if you don't want to, but have your sketches or comics ready in digital form on your computer to be able to get feedback from other comic artists and from the mentor. This online meeting will not be recorded or broadcast publicly, it is only for you artists who are participating.
