DIGITAL: Mo. 7.3 ab 20h Comicstammtisch mit / Comicmeeting with Joris Bas Backer

Wir sind schon im März, unglaublich! Auch unglaublich, dass wir Joris Bas Backer als Mentor für unseren digitalen Stammtisch gewinnen konnten. Er wurde 1981 in Den Haag, Niederlande, geboren. Dort und in Bukarest, New York und in einer holländischen Stadt namens Oegstgeest wuchs er auf. Seine freien Arbeiten beschäftigen sich mit den Themen Sehnsucht, Identität, Gender Dysphorie und Geschlechterrollen. Er ist Mitbegründer des Comic-Blog-Kollektivs »Chicks on Comics« und Autor von »Familienjuwelen« (mit Nettmann) und »Küsse für Jet«. 2019 gehörte Joris Bas Backer zu den Gewinnern des Ignatz Award in der Kategorie “Outstanding Anthology”. Seit 2003 lebt er in Berlin und arbeitet selbständig als Künstler, Comiczeichner und Illustrator.

Ihr müsst euer Gesicht nicht zeigen, wenn ihr nicht wollt, aber es wäre wichtig, dass ihr eure Zeichnungen/Entwürfe/Storyboards/Probeseiten DIGITAL bereit habt, als digitale Zeichnungen oder abfotografiert/gescannt. Dieses Onlinetreffen wird nicht aufgenommen oder gestreamt, es ist nur für euch angemeldete Comic-Künstler*Innen.

We are already in March, unbelievable! Also incredible that we could win Joris Bas Backer as a mentor for our monthly digital Comic Meeting Up. He was born in 1981 in The Hague, Netherlands. He grew up there and in Bucharest, New York and in a Dutch town called Oegstgeest. His freelance work explores themes of longing, identity, gender dysphoria and gender roles. please send an email with the subject line 'Stammtisch' to the Meetup coordinator Augusto (augusto [dot] paim [at] gmail [dot] com), he will send you the meeting link on the day. Add to the email what you will be showing and what topics are of interest to you. You don't have to show your face in the call if you don't want to, but have your sketches or comics ready in digital form on your computer to be able to get feedback from other comic artists and from the mentor. This online meeting will not be recorded or broadcast publicly, it is only for you artists who are participating.
