DIGITAL: Mo. 7.2 ab 20h Comicstammtisch mit / Comicmeeting with Julia Zejn

Im zweiten digitalen Stammtisch 2022 haben wir eine Mentorin als Leipzig zu Gast. Julia Zejn, Jahrgang 1985, studierte Kommunikationsdesign mit Schwerpunkt Illustration und Animation. Seit 2013 arbeitet sie freiberuflich als Illustratorin, unter anderem für diverse Theaterproduktionen. Währenddessen widmete sie sich immer stärker dem Comiczeichnen. Nach diversen Kurzgeschichten-Comics erschien ihr Debüt »Drei Wege« im Herbst 2018 im avant-verlag, eine Graphic Novel über drei Frauenleben in Deutschland: 1918 - 1968 - 2018. Im Herbst 2021 erschien ihr neues Werk »Andere Umstände« zu einer ungeplanten Schwangerschaft. Julia Zejn lebt und arbeitet in Leipzig.

Ihr müsst euer Gesicht nicht zeigen, wenn ihr nicht wollt, aber es wäre wichtig, dass ihr eure Zeichnungen/Entwürfe/Storyboards/Probeseiten DIGITAL bereit habt, als digitale Zeichnungen oder abfotografiert/gescannt. Dieses Onlinetreffen wird nicht aufgenommen oder gestreamt, es ist nur für euch angemeldete Comic-Künstler*Innen.

For our second monthly digital Comic Meeting Up in 2022 we have a mentor from Leipzig. Julia Zejn, born 1985, studied communication design with a focus on illustration and animation. Since 2013 she has been working as a freelance illustrator, among other things for various theater productions. Meanwhile, she devoted herself more and more to drawing comics. After various short stories in comics, her debut "Drei Wege" was published by avant-verlag in fall 2018, a graphic novel about three women's lives in Germany: 1918 - 1968 - 2018. In fall 2021, her new book was published: "Andere Umstände," about an unplanned pregnancy. Julia Zejn lives and works in Leipzig.

Add to the email what you will be showing and what topics are of interest to you. You don't have to show your face in the call if you don't want to, but have your sketches or comics ready in digital form on your computer to be able to get feedback from other comic artists and from the mentor. This online meeting will not be recorded or broadcast publicly, it is only for you artists who are participating.
