DIGITAL: Mo. 5.7. ab 20h Comicstammtisch mit / Comicmeeting with Bettina Julia Egger

Im Juli wird die Grafikerin und Forscherin Bettina Julia Egger als Mentorin an dem digitalen Stammtisch der Comicbibliothek Renate teilnehmen, und zwar von Österreich aus. Sie hat Bildende Kunst, russische und französische Literatur in Frankreich und Österreich studiert. 2006 erhielt sie ihren Master in Bildender Kunst an der Université Rennes II und 2018 promovierte sie an der Universität Salzburg mit einer praxisorientierten Arbeit zum Thema 'Comics und Gedächtnis', die 2020 als Buch beim Ch. A. Bachmann Verlag erschienen ist. Bisher hat sie neun Graphic Novels in französischer Sprache veröffentlicht. Sie hat ein besonderes Interesse an Sachbüchern und Dokumentarformen mit Werken wie einem Reisebericht über die Transsibirische Eisenbahn und einem Interview mit Emmanuel Guibert. Derzeit ist sie als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am IFK Wien tätig.

Ihr müsst euer Gesicht nicht zeigen, wenn ihr nicht wollt, aber es wäre wichtig, dass ihr eure Zeichnungen/Entwürfe/Storyboards/Probeseiten DIGITAL bereit habt, als digitale Zeichnungen oder abfotografiert/gescannt. Dieses Onlinetreffen wird nicht aufgenommen oder gestreamt, es ist nur für euch angemeldete Comic-Künstler*Innen.

In July, the graphic artist and researcher Bettina Julia Egger will be joining digitally from Austria our Renate's Comic Meeting Up as a mentor. She studied fine arts, Russian and French literature in France and Austria. In 2006, she received her Master's degree in Fine Arts from the Université Rennes II and in 2018 she received her PhD from the University of Salzburg with a practice-oriented thesis on 'comics and memory', which was published as a book by Ch. A. Bachmann Verlag in 2020. To date, she has published nine graphic novels in French. She has a particular interest in non-fiction and documentary forms with works including a travelogue on the Trans-Siberian Railway and an interview with Emmanuel Guibert. She is currently a research assistant at IFK Vienna.

please send an email with the subject line 'Stammtisch' to the Meetup coordinator Augusto (augusto [dot] paim [at] gmail [dot] com), he will send you the meeting link on the day. Add to the email what you will be showing and what topics are of interest to you. You don't have to show your face in the call if you don't want to, but have your sketches or comics ready in digital form on your computer to be able to get feedback from other comic artists and from the mentor. This online meeting will not be recorded or broadcast publicly, it is only for you artists who are participating.
